I never knew how popular pin trading was until the Summer Games in Atlanta. Pin trading was all new to me. I had no idea how to do it, nor did I have any interest in doing it. But after a couple of days out on the street trading pins, I was hooked. I found that to be good in pin trading, one needs to be persistent, posses good negotiation skills and know the market. It also helps when one has good pins to trade.

This year in Nagano, the John Hancock pins are the most popular. Having the most popular pins certainly helps in the negotiation stage. Usually, I'm the one trying to strike a deal or negotiate until I got the pins I wanted. But it is also fascinating to watch. By watching one can observe and pick up on which pins are the most popular and maybe pick up on the different techniques on how to pin trade.

Pin trading is a lot of fun and it is a great way to meet new and exciting people from all over the world.
